Tennis retail in the US is a mix of specialty tennis shops, club pro shops, big sporting goods chains and running stores that carry court shoes. Specialty shops and pro shops demo racquets for a small fee that is usually credited toward a purchase, and they string racquets on site, typically within a day or two, with string and labor priced separately. Sporting goods chains stock entry-level racquets, balls and apparel at lower prices but rarely offer stringing or fitting advice. Court construction and resurfacing companies serve clubs, schools and homeowners; a hard court is typically resurfaced every five to eight years.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Outstanding customer service. I was on the hunt for new pickleball shoes and was able to visit their showroom. Tracy set me up with a pair, it felt like I was good. Then I walk around in them at home and found they were not going to work. I returned to the showroom, Tracy acknowledged me but was busy with an other customer. So, Katie stepped in to help me with several other brands. Easy exchange and I found my superhero shoes with K-Swiss. Awesome experience!

I think it’s just ridiculous that this order comes in with a different paddle. Brand new Black Opal I ordered (paid full price) and they decided to take the cover of another black opal and put it on a Coral paddle. Just completely unacceptable. Rob on the phone was kind enough to apologize but returning the paddle free of cost doesn’t help me for the weekend and the time and effort to then get it shipped back to them. Hope they make some changes….

They are just a middleman and can’t or won’t resolve problems if there is an issue involving the manufacturer and shipper. So if your purchase gets delivered to the wrong address you have no recourse - you are SOL. Responding to Total Pickleball reply below, I have already called twice. The first guy said they would send out a new pickle ball machine and would email me in two hours with confirmation. I received no email so called back the next day saying I didn’t get an email and they said I was misinformed and that they were just the middleman and I would need to contact the manufacturer directly. But they couldn’t give me a phone number for the manufacturer, so I sent an email and got a reply from the manufacturer saying they weren’t responsible for direct shipments. So as I said, Total Pickleball, you have left me with nothing so all I can do is warn others. If you want to make it right send me a phone number that will reach someone who can do something about it because from where I sit, no one I can reach can do anything and does not seem to care a bit.

The Total Pickleball Store in Alpharetta is "Great." Went there today for the first time to look at Pickleball Paddles. Fantastic selection. They have all types of paddles. What was really nice was the fact that they carry in store the Selkirk and Joola paddles that you can have in your hand and see in person instead of wondering what it feels like searching online or You tube. Great store and Great service today. Bought my Joola Ben Johns from them today and Very Pleased!

I’ve used Tennis Warehouse, Total Pickleball’s sister company, for demoing and purchasing tennis racquets and have always had a great experience. Decided to call and speak with someone about demoing pickleball paddles and was blown away by the service I received to just demo some paddles. I spoke with Ethan and he offered some great recommendations, insights, and was so knowledgeable about the sport. Ethan’s service is the reason I’ll keep buying from both companies.
